Should Triathletes use a Kickboard for Kick Sets in Swimming?

There are advantages and disadvantages to using a kickboard during kick sets.  For example, kicking without a board makes it harder to breathe but it puts a swimmer in a position similar to swimming.  It also allows a swimmer to work on body balance and the timing of the kick with the hips.  Kicking with a board allows us to breathe but the position required is the opposite of what we would like to use when actually swimming.  Practicing a mix of with and without a board is a good compromise to getting the most out of kick sets.
