What is this episode about?

INTRO 0-6:50

Liz goes down a rabbit hole recapping Rich Roll's podcast interview with Andy Ramage  about "middle lane" drinking and putting language to what it might look like if you don't necessarily feel like you fit as someone with an ‘alcohol problem’ but you also feel like maaaybe you drink a tiny more than is perhaps ideal. There's a lot of grey area around drinking and Andy is finally helping bring that language to the masses to so we can have nuanced conversations around alcohol.

Smooth out your Run Gait

In previous episodes, we've talked about developing a smooth pedal stroke using single leg drills.  A smooth gait in running is also important. A key part of making this happen is pre-acting vs reacting which we cover in this podcast about getting more power out of your run before your foot strikes the ground.  In short, we want to prepare to land rather than just reacting to the forces that come through the foot after it hits the ground.  Doing this allows for a smoother more efficient gait which means faster running for longer.
